BIRDING IN CAMBODIA AND LAOS DECEMBER 2018 - JANUARY 2019
Tuesday 25th December 2018
Jahoo Gibbon Camp, Keo Seima / Dak Dam Forest
In the morning we drove to Keo Seima Jahoo Gibbon Camp. This is a great area with nice evergreen forest and large stands of bamboo. One of the first birds we saw was a nice Bar-bellied Pitta. We also heard a Pale-headed Woodpecker, but unfortunately we never got to see it. In the afternoon we drove back to the Dak Dam area.
Among the birds we saw today were Pin-tailed Green Pigeon, Pied Imperial Pigeon, White-browed Piculet, Great Iora, Dark-necked Tailorbird, Hainan Blue Flycatcher, Blue-winged Leafbird, White-crested Laughingthrush and Black-throated Sunbird.
